Nigerian Fuji singer, Alhaji Abass Akande Obesere popularly known as Obesere is in a grateful mood after cheating death.
The Agbaakin Abobagunwa of Yoruba land via his Instagram page shared a video of him on a hospital bed as he revealed that he escaped a surgery that almost took his life. Expressing gratitude to his Maker, he noted how Allah has been merciful to him.
“Alhamdulillah. The Almighty Allah has been merciful to me. I escaped a surgery that almost took my life but Allah said NO!”.
In his comment section, some Nollywood Yoruba stars joined him to celebrate.

In April, former Nigeria midfielder, John Obi Mikel, had undergone surgery in the United Kingdom. Though he didn’t disclose the surgery he underwent, he shared photos of him before and after the operation as he stated that he was good.
Last year, singer and cousin to Davido, B-Red had expressed gratitude after successfully undergoing a knee surgery. Sharing photos of him in the hospital bed and wheelchair, he expressed gratitude to his creator for a successful surgery, as he stated that he was forever grateful and happy to be able to walk again.
Also undergoing a knee surgery was singer Falz, who sustained a knee injury while playing football. In August, he gave an update to it as he shared a video of him exercising to get back on his feet. He admitted that it was tough as he was in a lot of pain, however, he refused to stop pushing through the pain. He expressed gratitude for the overwhelming love he received, revealing that it kept him going.
To top it off, professional footballer, Ahmed Musa underwent surgery on his left arm. The footballer took to his Instagram page to express his heartfelt gratitude to his creator and doctors for a successful surgery.
