Talented Nigerian actor and producer Ibrahim Yekini, better known as Itele, has called out a female colleague of his for spreading gossip about him.
Taking to his Instagram page, he revealed that he had noticed some gossip about him, and it seemed to be coming from a certain colleague. He questioned why this was happening as he noted how he had never done anything to offend her. Itele further noted how they work in different roles and he has worked so hard to be where he is.
The Kesari actor urged the colleague to stop with the negative talks as they are unnecessary and hurtful. He further stated that creating division between people who love each other reveals more about their insecurities than the truth of those they speak about.
“Dear female colleague,
I want to address something that’s been bothering me. I’ve noticed some gossip about me, and it seems to be coming from you. I don’t understand why this is happening, as I have never done anything to offend you. We work in different roles, and I worked so hard to be here, Anu mi Mori gba.I kindly ask that you stop these negative talks, as they are unnecessary and hurtful!
Thank you for understanding”.
“Speeding gossip to create division between people who love each other reveals more about their own insecurities than the truth of those they speak about. True strength lies in building bridges, not burning them!”.
Similarly, in May, actress Motilola called out her senior colleague, Kunle Afod, and his wife, Desola Afod, for sabotaging her career. She shared a lengthy video and poured out her heart about the ill-treatment she had been receiving from her other colleagues due to Kunle Afod’s interference. She pleaded with Kunle to desist from defaming her because she was no longer interested in having a relationship with him.
