Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ winner Ijeoma Otabor, better known as Phyna, has explained her reason for supporting activist Very Dark Man over crossdresser Bobrisky, who she is friends with.
Bibncollar reported that in the wake of his saga with Falz, Bobrisky, and EFCC, Phyna, via the micro-blogging platform Twitter, now known as X, nominated him to contest as President of Ythe out Democratic Party (YDP). She stated that she will boldly and proudly stand by him as she believes a better Nigeria will come through him.
Phyna made it known that any year he makes such a decision, she will be standing by. Sending a message to her haters, she gave them buckets to keep crying.
Her tweet didn’t sit well with one of her fans, who told her to keep silent. The fan stated that when one has two friends who are having issues, one should be calm or don’t have a point. She noted how Phyna celebrated Bobrisky days back and now is pitching a tent with VDM.
“When you have two friends who are having issues, you should be calm or don’t have a point! You just celebrated Bob my darling, don’t make this look like you were a hypocrite. Sometimes it is good to just don’t say anything”.
Replying to the fan, Phyna made it clear that it isn’t about Bobrisky or Very Dark Man, but about fighting corruption and making the country a better place. Phyna stated that she stands against corruption and oppression and has the right to talk about whatever is going on, just like others.
“It’s not about Bob or VDM. It’s about fighting corruption and making the country a better place. I stand against corruption and oppression. And I have the right to talk on whatever that is going on just like every other Nigerians”.
Phyna isn’t the only one standing with Very Dark Man. Veteran actress Rita Edochie had called him a well-meaning activist as she praised his work and prayed for him to grow from strength to strength. The sister-in-law of Pete Edochie assured him that God has his back and even the world supports and applauds his efforts. Edochie told him he would always have her genuine backing and support.
Meanwhile, Vee Iye criticized VDM’s supporters, stating that they may need a mental evaluation. She stated that it was time to hold certain people responsible as she emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in advocating for Nigerians’ rights, dismissing the idea of individual freedom fighters.
Bibncollar reported Very Dark Man, via his Instagram page, released audio of Bobrisky, where he alleged that some unnamed EFCC officers collected N15 million from him to drop money laundering charges against him. The crossdresser alleged that a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and his son assured him of getting the charges dropped and keeping him out of Prison.
Calling out the rapper, Very Dark Man alleged that Falz and his father, Femi Falana, were the ones behind Bobrisky’s ordeal. A claim the rapper and his father’s team denied and threatened to take legal action if didn’t tender a public apology to them.
The audio had gotten the crossdresser into trouble as the EFCC spokesman, Dele Oyewale had on Tuesday said that the commission had constituted a team of investigators to critically look into the allegations.
Bobrisky, in an Instagram post, claimed that the viral audio was fake and that he did not bribe any EFCC official to drop money laundering charges against him. He also insisted that he served his jail term inside the prison.
