Joint security forces in the operation coordinated the rain on the criminal camp located in Lilu, Mbosi and Isseke areas of Ihiala local government area of the state.
The Anambra State Police Command has said that joint security forces in the state busted a criminal camp located in some parts of Ihiala local government area of the state and recovered three undetonated explosive devices, two abandoned cars and other items.
The public relations officer of the command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, who made this known in a statement made available to newsmen in Awka, the state capital, said the recovery was made following security intelligence gathered over time.
Ikenga said the joint security forces in the operation coordinated the rain on the criminal camp located in Lilu, Mbosi and Isseke areas of Ihiala local government area of the state.
According to him, the security forces “recovered three unexploded improvised explosives, two abandoned vehicles, some explosives materials like copper wires, fuel and other dangerous materials.”
The police spokesperson said the state police commissioner, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, while charging the operatives to sustain the tempo of the operations, assured the people of the state of the commitment of the police and other security agencies to continue to dominate and deny the criminal elements the freedom to wreak havoc in the state.
He said, “The Joint Operations is still ongoing and further development shall be communicated.”
