Nollywood actor Stan Nze has reprimanded a troll for criticizing his wife, Blessing Obasi for not using his surname on social media.
Blessing, via her Instagram page, shared a video of her promoting her Yoruba colleague, Wumi Toriola’s movie premiere, Queen Lateefah, which was held during the week.
Taking to her comment section, the troll, identified as Oriretan Honour, slammed her for not using her husband’s surname on all her social media handles. He stated that such behavior speaks volumes about marital respect. The troll stated that if she indeed loved and respected her husband, she would have made the change.
Telling her to do the needful, he admonished her to avoid being a 21-century kind of wind in character, and mentality.
“Blessing, it’s unwise not having “Nze”, your husband’s surname, on all your social media handles, forgetting this speaks volumes about marital respect. It is more unwise to still have “Blessing Jessica Obasi” on your Instagram instead of “Blessing Nze”. I’d not find it hard to change our husband’s surname on your media accounts if you truly love and respect him. Do the needful now. Avoid being a 21st-century kind of wife in character and mentality. This is why it’s not good for 2 celebrities to marry. There is always power, submission tussle. Think smart to protect your home. Be wise. Don’t be unwise”.
Replying to him, Stan Nze stated that it was unwise of him to be in people’s business as he urged him to mind his business.
“It’s unwise to be in people’s businesses. Please mind your business”.
Appreciating her husband, Blessing wrote in her dialect, “My King. Dim Oma”.
Stan Nze got married to his older colleague, Blessing Obasi, in 2021, and the couple is blessed with a boy, who they welcomed in 2023.
In September 2022, Blessing and Stan hinted at marital troubles after they stirred controversy on their first anniversary. Fans of the lovebirds had treated them to surprise anniversary gifts and in the video captured online, Stan felt irritated and angry, which left many of their fans concerned.
Stan, later admitted in an interview that it wasn’t a joyous one for them, revealing that he and his wife were in different moods as they had argued, and neither was ready to compromise.
However, the couple were able to overcome it and on their second anniversary, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child. The post, which was accompanied by a heartfelt video, showed the actor’s wife touching her baby bump tenderly.
A week back, the couple celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary. Stan noted how it’s been 3 years of being with his wife, whom he described as the most amazing woman alive. He noted how it has also been 3 years of experiencing God’s faithfulness and goodness first-hand.
