The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, Danladi Isa, has reiterated his commitment to maintaining discipline and professionalism within the force, warning that indiscipline and misconduct will not be tolerated under his leadership.
Speaking at the command headquarters in Umuahia while addressing newly recruited Specialist Constables, Isa emphasized the need for integrity and ethical conduct. The recruits, all Abia indigenes with expertise in various fields such as driving, tailoring, information technology, medical services, welding, painting, and the police band, were urged to uphold the dignity of the force.
The CP stressed that any act of corruption or unprofessional behavior would attract strict disciplinary action. He called on the new personnel to serve with dedication and maintain a positive image of the police.
Some of the recruits, in interviews, pledged to carry out their duties with professionalism and commitment.
Meanwhile, the command recently dismissed three officers: Sergeant Jonas Nnamdi, Corporal James Daniel, and Corporal Ifeanyi Emeka after an orderly room trial found them guilty of misconduct, conspiracy, extortion, and abduction. Their dismissal has been met with widespread approval from residents, who commended the police commissioner’s efforts to sanitize the force and restore public confidence.
