A former member of the House of Representatives, Dr. Paschal Obi, who represented Ideato North and South Federal Constituency, has officially left the Labour Party (LP) and rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Obi was warmly received by the expanded state executive of the APC, led by State Chairman Macdonald Ebere, after formalizing his membership at both the ward and local government levels.
In his remarks, Obi cited Governor Hope Uzodinma’s commitment to infrastructural development as a key reason for his return to the APC. He also commended the party’s leadership under Ebere, highlighting its outstanding performance during the recent local government elections.
“I am encouraged by the massive infrastructural progress under Governor Uzodinma and the exceptional leadership of the APC in the state,” Obi said. He pledged his continued support and loyalty to the party.
Responding, APC State Chairman Macdonald Ebere welcomed Obi back into the party, praising his decision to return and expressing confidence in his contributions to the APC’s success.
The event was attended by several political stakeholders from Ideato South, who accompanied Obi to mark his return.
DAILY POST reports that Obi has had an extensive political journey, previously affiliating with the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the APC, and most recently, the Labour Party, before returning to the APC.
