Owerri – Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, on Monday hosted top officials of Anoh Gas Processing Company, where both parties reaffirmed their commitment to a strategic partnership aimed at harnessing the state’s abundant gas resources for economic development.
The meeting, which took place at the Governor’s office in Owerri, also served as an opportunity for the company to formally introduce its new Managing Director, Mr. James Makinde. He was accompanied by the General Manager, Operations, Engr. Amaechi Nwogbe.
Governor Uzodimma, while welcoming the delegation, reiterated his administration’s dedication to forging meaningful collaborations with progressive organisations to drive sustainable growth and shared prosperity in Imo State and Nigeria at large.
He emphasised that Anoh Gas Processing Company’s operations in the state would help translate Imo’s vast gas reserves into tangible economic benefits. The Governor assured the new management of continued support and an enabling environment to ensure the success of their joint initiatives.
“This government remains committed to partnerships and collaborations that align with our objective of sharing prosperity across the State,” Uzodimma stated.
He urged the company to prioritise local content development, job creation, infrastructure development, and expanded revenue generation, creating a win-win outcome for both the company and the people of Imo.
In his remarks, Mr. James Makinde expressed delight at the opportunity to meet the Governor shortly after assuming office. He reaffirmed the company’s readiness to deepen collaboration with the Imo State Government, particularly in expanding gas-based industries and unlocking the state’s natural resource potential for the benefit of residents and the nation.
The Managing Director thanked Governor Uzodimma for his warm reception and continued support. The Imo State Commissioner for Petroleum and Natural Gas Development, Emeka Mgbudem, Esq., was also present at the meeting.
