The Nigerian Bar Association’s Gwagwalada Branch, known as the Eagle Bar, will begin enforcing the Legal Practitioners’ Remuneration Order 2023 in its area from 25 September 2026.
The move aims to safeguard the professional and financial interests of lawyers and to secure proper adherence to the rules that govern fees for legal work. Branch leaders describe the Order as a key tool for maintaining the standing and economic worth of legal practice, especially in dealings that involve land documents, title instruments and related matters.
Chairman N. D. Abdulsalam, Esq., restated the branch’s resolve to advance professional standards, defend the legitimate interests of practitioners and uphold the requirements set for the practice of law. Members have been urged to familiarise themselves with the Order’s provisions and to apply them fully.
The Gwagwalada Branch says it remains focused on strengthening the legal profession, supporting its members’ welfare and protecting the integrity of legal practice.
