Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has urged Special Assistants (SAs) to justify their monthly allowances by actively contributing to the state’s development.
Speaking during a fast-breaking event with his Special Assistants at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Dutse, the governor emphasized the importance of accountability in public office.
“Whenever I get this opportunity, I use it to remind myself and other political appointees that we will be held accountable for whatever we receive on the Day of Judgment,” he said.
Governor Namadi stressed that public office is a trust, and those appointed must serve both the government and the people, rather than viewing their positions as an easy source of income.
“It is unfortunate that some see government funds as free money. I urge us all to fear God, uphold integrity, and carry out our duties diligently, knowing that we will account for our actions,” he added.
He called on the SAs to be good ambassadors of the government and work diligently toward the progress of Jigawa State.
