The Imo State Commissioner of Police, Aboki Danjuma, has initiated discussions with stakeholders to facilitate the renovation of police divisions destroyed by unidentified gunmen in the state.
As part of his security assessment tour, CP Danjuma visited several affected divisions across local government areas, including Obowo, Ehime Mbano, Isiala Mbano, and Aboh Mbaise. The visits aimed to evaluate security conditions and discuss strategies to restore law enforcement infrastructure.
At Aboh Mbaise, CP Danjuma met with Local Government Chairman Henry Alaribe Iheukwumere and other key stakeholders to discuss security measures. He emphasized the role of community-based vigilante groups in complementing police efforts to maintain peace and foster trust.
During his stop at the Obowo Divisional Headquarters, the commissioner inspected ongoing renovations and assured residents that the station would soon resume full operations to provide essential security services.
Imo State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Henry Okoye, stated that the commissioner’s visit was part of efforts to boost officers’ morale and enhance security across the state. He also confirmed that additional resources would be allocated to strengthen the affected divisions.
In Ehime Mbano, CP Danjuma met with Local Government Chairman Uche Nwadu and other stakeholders to review renovation plans. He urged community members to collaborate with law enforcement to improve security and combat crime effectively.
The commissioner also expressed gratitude to Governor Hope Uzodinma for his continued support, which he said had been instrumental in reinforcing the police’s capacity to maintain law and order in the state.
