The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has strongly denied reports alleging financial infractions within the organization, dismissing them as false, misleading, and malicious.
In a statement released yesterday, the board described the claims as a deliberate attempt to tarnish its reputation and divert attention from its mandate. It reaffirmed its commitment to integrity, professionalism, and transparency in carrying out its responsibilities.
“The Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Engr. Felix Ogbe, remains dedicated to the highest standards of integrity, patriotism, and professionalism in leading the board,” the statement read.
According to the board, Ogbe is focused on supporting President Bola Ti’s vision for strengthening local content development, integrating host communities into the value chain, ensuring compliance, and expanding indigenous participation in the oil and gas sector. “For the avoidance of doubt, the Executive Secretary categorically refutes the baseless allegations, which appear to be part of a coordinated attempt to smear his reputation and distract the organization from its core mission,” the statement added.
NCDMB also expressed concern over repeated media reports linking Ogbe to unfounded infractions, suggesting a calculated attempt to malign his character for undisclosed reasons.
The board urged the public to disregard such claims and remain vigilant against misinformation, emphasizing that Ogbe remains committed to delivering transparent, accountable, and results-driven leadership in line with the administration’s goals for the sector.
