A group of senior members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State, under the banner of Concerned Elders for Peace, has demanded the expulsion of Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, a serving House of Representatives member, over alleged anti-party activities.
In a statement released on Wednesday in Sokoto, Aliyu Mammani Kaura, the APC North-West Zonal Coordinator, accused Jaji of fostering divisions within the party, supporting media attacks on key APC figures, and allegedly working with the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State.
The elders expressed concerns that Jaji’s alleged ties with the PDP-led state government are weakening the APC’s internal unity. They also accused him of showing disrespect to key party leaders, including the Minister of State for Defense, Bello Matawalle, and former Governor Abdul’aziz Yari.
According to the group, despite multiple reconciliation efforts, Jaji has continued actions deemed harmful to the party’s stability, particularly through social media attacks on APC leadership. “His continued defiance and disregard for party leadership pose a serious threat to the APC’s stability in Zamfara and the North-West,” the statement warned, adding that his actions could weaken the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
The elders also criticized Jaji’s media aide, Mansur Aminu Khalifa, accusing him of making inflammatory statements against party leaders. They noted that both Jaji and Khalifa had previously faced suspensions for misconduct, yet their alleged disruptive behavior persists.
The Concerned Elders for Peace called on the APC’s national leadership to take decisive action against Jaji to protect the party’s unity and prevent further divisions, stressing the need for a strong and united front as the party prepares for future elections.
