Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Monday paid a visit to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The purpose of the meeting remains undisclosed.
Atiku, who contested the 2023 presidential election under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and is speculated to be eyeing the 2027 race, arrived at the facility around 12:36 p.m. He proceeded directly to the Penthouse section, where Obasanjo was waiting for a closed-door discussion.
Accompanying Atiku were former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal, former Cross River State Governor Liyel Imoke, Bauchi politician Abdul Mingi, and Obasanjo’s close associate, Otunba Oyewole Fasawe, among others.
