Access Holdings has emerged as the largest employer of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) candidates in Nigeria, according to data from CFA Society Nigeria.
The ranking, published in the Society’s Where Nigeria’s Finance Professionals Work series, shows Access with 82 employees enrolled as CFA candidates as of June 2026, more than double the 38 recorded by the next institution. Access also ranks second nationally among employers of CFA charterholders, with 11 professionals who have completed all three levels of the CFA Programme and met the required experience and ethics standards.
The figures, drawn from CFA Society Nigeria’s Salesforce Membership Database, highlight the depth of professional expertise being developed within financial institutions rather than traditional metrics such as balance-sheet size or branch networks. The Society said the rankings recognise employers whose staff bring “rigour, integrity and global best practices into the workplace every day.”
The CFA Programme covers investment analysis, portfolio management, economics, financial reporting, and ethical standards. A larger pipeline of candidates and charterholders expands the pool of professionals available to banks, capital-market operators, pension funds and asset managers.
Access Holdings Group Chief Executive Officer Innocent C. Ike said the numbers reflect the group’s focus on developing people rather than simply expanding headcount. “Every candidate on that list represents our commitment to building institutions and professionals that endure,” he said.
The ranking aligns with Access’s stated goal of becoming the “World’s Most Respected African Financial Services Group,” with human-capital development positioned as a core foundation. The data also points to intensifying competition for specialised talent as Nigerian and African financial institutions seek greater participation in more sophisticated domestic and international markets.
