The All Progressives Congress (APC) is solidifying its presence in Southern Kaduna with the defection of several prominent politicians in the region, the BAT Ideological Group (BIG) has said.
In a statement released by its Executive Director, Chief Atoyebi Bamidele, the group welcomed the defectors, describing their decision as a step in the right direction.
BIG, a support group for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, commended Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for his inclusive governance approach, which, according to the group, has reversed the historical neglect and security challenges in Southern Kaduna.
“Success has many relatives, while failure is an orphan. This aptly describes the growing support for APC in Kaduna State,” the statement read.
BIG noted that Southern Kaduna, which was once a stronghold of the opposition, is now aligning with the APC due to Governor Sani’s leadership and President Tinubu’s national unity agenda.

BIG emphasized that their defection is a testament to the effective governance of Governor Uba Sani and the broader appeal of APC’s leadership at both state and national levels.
“Their decision to join APC reflects the growing confidence in President Tinubu’s vision for national unity and Governor Sani’s efforts to integrate all parts of Kaduna State into the development process,” the group added.
BIG credited Governor Uba Sani for neutralizing opposition in Kaduna State, stating that his ability to unite Southern Kaduna under the APC banner marks a significant political shift.
