Chairman of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has credited President Bola Tinubu as the visionary behind the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals Complex.
Speaking on Thursday during President Tinubu’s visit to the facility in Lagos, Dangote described the refinery as a direct result of the President’s foresight and initiatives during his time as Governor of Lagos State.
“It gives me immense pleasure to welcome Your Excellency to the Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals Complex, and to commission this concrete road and other infrastructure which you graciously approved,” Dangote said.
“I must emphasise that this refinery is in many ways your brainchild. The Lekki Free Trade Zone, where this complex is located, was established during your tenure as governor. Today, we are witnessing the tangible fruits of that vision,” he added.
Describing President Tinubu as a visionary leader, Dangote stated, “What you have seen today is just the beginning—we are only getting started.”
He also praised Tinubu’s economic reforms, particularly the Naira-for-Crude policy, which he said reflects a strong commitment to national sovereignty and economic recovery.
In addition, Dangote commended the Nigeria First Policy, aimed at reducing reliance on foreign goods and services by promoting local content and investment.
