A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Daniel Bwala, has commended Valentine Ozigbo for resigning from the Labour Party (LP), describing the move as bold and progressive.
In a statement on his official social media handle, Bwala also extended an invitation to Ozigbo to join the APC, calling it “the largest party in Africa.
“My brother and friend, Mazi Valentine Ozigbo, @valentineozigbo, I welcome your resignation from the Labour Party as a bold and progressive move.
“I also kindly invite you to join our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), the largest party in Africa,” Bwala stated.
Additionally, he urged former LP presidential candidate Peter Obi to follow suit and join the APC in the interest of national progress.
“I want to also extend the invitation to Peter Obi, @PeterObi, to join us in moving Nigeria forward and renewing the hope of our people,” he added.
Ozigbo, a former PDP governorship candidate in Anambra, recently announced his exit from the Labour Party, citing the need for a new political direction. His next move remains uncertain, but reports suggest he may be considering aligning with the ruling APC.
