The Ebonyi State Police Command has apprehended a man, Ovuta Chigozie, for possessing two human skulls and three locally made firearms.
Chigozie, a resident of Okoffia community in Ezza South Local Government Area, admitted during interrogation that he received the skulls for use in preparing a spiritual concoction. Authorities are currently pursuing another individual linked to the case.
In a separate operation, police officers investigating a stolen tricycle uncovered a criminal syndicate specializing in altering the colors of stolen tricycles from neighboring states.
The crackdown resulted in the arrest of four suspects: Nweke Chukwudi, Nwankwo Obinna, John Abba, and Uche Abba. Three stolen tricycles were recovered, and the suspects confessed to receiving the vehicles from accomplices for repainting.
The Command’s Spokesperson, SP Joshua Ukandu, disclosed these developments in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abakaliki. He confirmed that all suspects would be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
