Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has announced a ₦159 billion infrastructure development plan for 2025, covering roads, education, and healthcare.
Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Adeleke reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering democratic dividends despite political challenges. He emphasized that the projects would be funded without borrowing, relying instead on federal allocations, internally generated revenue (IGR), and special funds from the Federal Government.
“In line with my promise never to be distracted from serving the people, I am unveiling a new set of infrastructure projects that will extend development across Osun State,” he said.
Adeleke highlighted achievements from the multi-billion-naira infrastructure plan launched in December 2023, noting that over 150km of roads, 200 primary healthcare centers, and 99 schools have been completed or rehabilitated. He provided updates on major projects, including the Ilesa dualisation and Ile-Ife flyover, both at 60% completion, while the Oke-Fia and LAMECO flyovers stand at 90% and 50%, respectively.

•Osogbo-Iwo-Oyo boundary road – ₦5.94bn
•Osogbo-Ikirun-Kwara boundary road – ₦13.7bn
•Dualisation of Odo Ori Junction-Post Office Junction-Adeeke Junction – ₦10.42bn
•Dualisation of Ila township road – ₦12.65bn
•Reconstruction of Ijebu-Jesa-Ere-Ilahun-Ibokun road – ₦8.05bn
•Ada-Ibokun-Ilase-Idominasi road project – ₦10.89bn
•Upgrading, lighting, and beautification of major roads and roundabouts – ₦5bn
Education – ₦1.98bn Allocation
•Renovation of Ede High School hall and pavilion – ₦50.2m
•Agbonran School of Science, Ede South – ₦200m
•Oranmiyan Memorial Grammar School, Ile-Ife – ₦149.5m
•Ogedengbe School of Science, Ilesa – ₦137m
Healthcare – ₦2.76bn Investment
•Renovation of 124 remaining primary healthcare centres
Governor Adeleke assured that no project would be left unfinished and urged citizens to support the government’s initiatives.
“We are building a stronger, more prosperous Osun State, and these projects mark another step in that direction,” he added.
