Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Dele Momodu, has criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for referring to some Nigerians as “busybodies.”
The remark followed Tinubu’s comments on Tuesday, where he urged the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to ignore “busybodies and naysayers” and remain focused on his developmental mandate in Abuja.
Speaking in an interview with Channels Television on Wednesday, Momodu expressed concern over Tinubu’s remarks, suggesting that the President appears to be overly defensive of Wike.
He said, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has been a political force in Lagos since 1999, has never shown the level of boldness that Wike currently displays. At this point, it’s beginning to feel like Nigeria has two Presidents.”
Momodu further criticized Tinubu for his choice of words, saying, “I listened to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Commander-in-Chief, referring to Nigerians as busybodies — all because of Wike. It’s deeply troubling.”
