The Kogi State Commissioner for Information, Kingsley Fanwo, has dismissed allegations that former Governor Yahaya Bello, Governor Usman Ododo, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio conspired to assassinate Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
Speaking in an interview with Channels TV, Fanwo insisted that no such discussion ever took place.
Senator Natasha made the claims during a grand welcome event in her hometown, Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State, on Tuesday. She alleged that Akpabio initiated her recall process after allegedly promising Bello financial support.
She further stated: “The second thing he said was that he should try and kill me. I didn’t make this public, but I have written to the IG of Police. Akpabio told Yahaya Bello that he should ensure the act does not happen in Abuja but here, so it would appear as if the people were responsible.”
In response, Fanwo refuted the allegations, stating: “The governor (Ododo) and the Senate President never discussed anything related to the suspended senator (Natasha) of Kogi Central. There was no conversation to recall her, and there was no conversation to assassinate her.”
