Saraki also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for participating in the commemorative session at the National Assembly, noting that the venue underscored the symbolic importance of legislative power in a democratic society.
“The choice to commemorate Democracy Day in the National Assembly chamber, rather than Aso Rock Villa, the Supreme Court foyer, or Eagle Square, sends a powerful message,” he stated. “It reaffirms the legislature’s place as the foundation of democratic governance in Nigeria.”
