Troops of Operation FANSAR YANMA have eliminated notorious bandit Shehu Kwale and several other terrorists in a clearance operation near Mararrabar Kyaware, Zamfara State.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed the development in a post on X on Tuesday, revealing that the operation took place on Monday. According to Makama, the troops engaged the terrorists in a fierce gun battle, resulting in multiple casualties among the bandits.
“Shehu Kwale, a close associate of the infamous terror kingpin Dan Ishu, was among those neutralized during the operation,” Makama stated.
Sources described Kwale as one of the most ruthless fighters in Dan Ishu’s camp. Military intelligence further revealed that he was the biological son of Hajiya Dudu Mainono, a resident of Tsafe Local Government Area.
“She once expressed distress over her son’s deep involvement in banditry, particularly after he allegedly presented human heads to his leader, Dan Ishu, as proof of his deadly exploits,” a security source disclosed.
Military authorities have hailed the successful operation as a significant breakthrough in the ongoing fight against terrorism and banditry in Zamfara and surrounding states.
