An Abuja High Court on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, adjourned the N2 billion assault and battery suit against Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, until Wednesday, October 14, after the defendant and his counsel failed to appear.
The case, filed in November 2025 by Levi Ogbogiri, also known as Kraziecent, stems from an alleged incident at a public event on December 16, 2024. Ogbogiri claims the rapper attacked him without provocation while he was taking photographs and recording videos. He further alleges the confrontation caused a wrist injury, emotional distress and damage to his iPhone 15 Pro Max.
At the resumed hearing before Justice J.O.E. Ajayi (also reported in some accounts as Adeyemi-Ajayi), claimant’s counsel Uchenna Ojembe informed the court that his client was present and ready to proceed. He noted that the matter had suffered repeated adjournments and urged the court to continue.
The judge ordered a short stand-down to allow the defendant and his lawyer, Taiwo Akinsulie, time to arrive. When they still did not appear, Ogbogiri entered the witness box. He adopted his witness statements on oath and affidavits deposed to on February 25, 2026, and asked the court to grant the reliefs sought.
Ogbogiri told the court he was relying on a range of digital and documentary exhibits already filed. These included multi-party contracts involving Walex Biz Nigeria Ltd, Shelter Groove Ltd, Capworld Nigeria Ltd and Chinotem Nig Ltd; medical records detailing a wrist injury and subsequent treatment; photographs; WhatsApp communication logs; and payment receipts.
After hearing the evidence, the judge adjourned the matter specifically for cross-examination of the claimant by the defence.
The claimant is seeking an order directing the defendant to cover his medical expenses and issue a public apology on his social media platforms and in two national dailies, or in the alternative pay N2 billion in damages.
The latest hearing follows an earlier adjournment on June 23, 2026, when the court fixed October 13 and 14 for the matter after the defence requested more time to prepare. Previous sittings had also been delayed, including one in May linked to the absence of defence counsel.
No finding of liability has been made. The evidence presented remains subject to cross-examination and the court’s assessment. Proceedings are expected to continue on October 14, 2026.
