The Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice Simeon Chibuzor Amadi, has announced that judges of the State High Court will commence their annual vacation on Monday, July 21, 2025.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Chief Registrar of the High Court, David Ihua Maduenyi.
According to the statement, regular court sittings are expected to resume on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. The vacation is in accordance with Order 49, Rule 4 of the High Court of Rivers State (Civil Procedure) Rules, 2023, as amended.
During the period, all judicial divisions of the High Court will remain closed. However, the Chief Judge will designate vacation judges to attend to urgent matters filed while the courts are on recess.
