Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has said President Bola Tinubu is committed to rewriting the history of the Southeast through developmental projects and political inclusion.
Umahi made the remarks in Umuahia, Abia State, during a courtesy visit to Governor Alex Otti after inspecting ongoing federal projects in the state.
He urged Governor Otti to join other Southeast leaders in supporting President Tinubu, stating that the region is witnessing significant federal government presence under his administration.
“We have every reason, as Ndigbo and people of the Southeast, regardless of party lines, to stand with this man (Tinubu) who is standing with us to rewrite our history and reintegrate us into the mainstream of the federal government,” Umahi said.
In response, Governor Otti reaffirmed his administration’s readiness to collaborate with the federal government on infrastructural development that will benefit the people of Abia.
He expressed appreciation for the federal government’s support and pledged continued cooperation between the state and the federal administration.
