Troops of the 1 Division, Nigerian Army, under Operation Fasan Yamma, have eliminated three terrorists in an ambush near Ngwagi Hill, Gwagwada community, along the Kaduna-Abuja Highway in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The operation, carried out on March 11, 2025, was based on credible intelligence and led to a firefight, forcing other terrorists to retreat with injuries.
Recovered items from the scene include two AK-47 rifles, eight AK-47 magazines, 374 rounds of 7.62mm x 39mm ammunition, 88 rounds of 7.62mm x 54mm NATO ammunition, and an Infinix mobile phone.
Commending the troops, Major General Mayirenso Lander David Saraso, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division, praised their efforts and urged them to sustain the fight against criminal elements.
