The Kano State Police Command has arrested two operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for allegedly shooting and killing a 19-year-old woman, Patient Samuel, in Jaba Quarters.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed the incident in a post on X on Thursday, stating that it occurred around 10:55 p.m. on Wednesday.
The suspects, identified as Nass Ridwan Usman, 23, and Sna Ismaila Yakubu, 26, were attached to the NDLEA’s Kano State headquarters.
Police personnel were dispatched to the scene, where they found the victim and evacuated her to Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital. However, she was confirmed dead on arrival.
Authorities recovered several items from the suspects, including their operational motorcycle, a live round of ammunition, four empty 7.62x51mm shells, and two knives.
An investigation is underway to uncover the circumstances surrounding the shooting and ensure justice is served.
