Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), has reiterated his administration’s firm stance against insecurity, declaring that the government will not tolerate threats to the peace and safety of its citizens.
In a decisive move to bolster security operations across the state, Governor Idris personally supervised the distribution of newly acquired patrol vehicles and motorcycles under the ongoing Operation Flush initiative.
“These logistics are a clear demonstration of our commitment to safeguarding lives and property. We will not tolerate insecurity—every resident of Kebbi must live in peace,” the governor asserted.
The new patrol vehicles, boldly branded with “Kebbi State Govt. Operation Flush,” along with a fleet of motorcycles, are expected to significantly improve the mobility of security personnel and local vigilantes, especially in remote and hard-to-reach areas frequently targeted by criminals.
Commissioner for Information and Culture, Yakubu Ahmed, highlighted the importance of public cooperation, urging residents to support security agencies with timely and credible information.
“Community collaboration is vital for this strategy to succeed,” he noted. “These resources are part of a broader effort to strengthen response times and enhance the presence of law enforcement in vulnerable communities.”
While the patrol vehicles are intended for coordinated surveillance and patrols in high-risk zones, the motorcycles are specially suited for quick movement through rough terrains and rural settlements.
Governor Idris called on all residents to remain vigilant and actively contribute to efforts aimed at flushing out criminal elements, promising continued investment in security infrastructure to ensure a safer Kebbi for all.
