The Oyo State Government has swiftly demolished a building identified as a hideout for the kidnappers of Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, sister of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul.
The demolition, carried out early Monday morning June 8, 2026, by the Ministry of Lands and Housing in collaboration with security agencies, came less than 48 hours after the victims were rescued. Mrs. John-Paul and her twins were abducted on June 3, 2026, along Elewura, Ring Road, Ibadan, while she was taking them to school. A coordinated security operation by the Nigeria Police Force led to their rescue, during which two suspected kidnappers were neutralized and several others arrested.
