Two-time heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua has signed a major commercial representation agreement with CAA Sports, broadening his presence beyond boxing and aligning him with one of the world’s leading sports agencies.
The partnership, forged in collaboration with Joshua’s 258 Group, will focus on expanding the British-Nigerian fighter’s endorsement portfolio, speaking opportunities, and broader business ventures.
As part of the deal, 258 Group Managing Director Freddie Cunningham has been named Head of Client Strategy for CAA Sports’ Talent Group. Based in London, Cunningham will directly oversee Joshua’s commercial activities, including endorsements, public engagements, and publishing while continuing his role at 258 Group and supporting wider athlete business development across CAA’s international roster. He will report to Roman Di Somma, CAA Sports’ Head of International Talent.
The move positions Joshua alongside a prestigious roster of CAA Sports clients, including football stars Son Heung-min, Robert Lewandowski, and Cole Palmer, as well as manager José Mourinho, golfer Gary Neville, and rising talents like Kobbie Mainoo and Sky Brown.
Joshua, 36, turned professional in 2013 and has established himself as one of his generation’s most accomplished heavyweights, capturing world titles on two separate occasions. His most recent bout came in December 2025, when he stopped Jake Paul in the sixth round in a Netflix-streamed event in Miami.
Tragically, later that same month, Joshua was involved in a fatal car crash in Nigeria that killed his personal trainer Latif Ayodele and strength coach Sina Ghami. The fighter sustained injuries in the incident but is now focused on his ring return, scheduled for July 25 against Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia.
Beyond the ropes, Joshua and 258 Group have built a diversified business empire spanning technology, real estate, content creation, and health and performance sectors. He maintains high-profile endorsement partnerships with global brands including Under Armour, Audemars Piguet, Hugo Boss, Jaguar Land Rover, DAZN, EA Sports, Meta, and Beats by Dre. While the CAA Sports partnership marks a significant step in Joshua’s commercial growth, his core operations will remain unchanged.
In-ring affairs, business interests, and family office activities will continue under 258 Group’s direction, with communications handled by Soapbox, legal matters by Level, and promotions by Matchroom Boxing.
