Nigeria’s dairy brand Three Crowns Milk, from FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria Plc, has renewed its support for women’s well-being and healthier living during the 2026 August Meeting held in Owerri.
The August Meeting, one of the largest cultural gatherings in South-Eastern Nigeria, brings women from various communities and the diaspora together for community development, networking, empowerment and social interaction. This year’s edition again offered a platform for connection, celebration of shared values and stronger community ties.
True to its focus on mothers, Three Crowns Milk organised interactive brand activities, dairy education sessions, games, product sampling and rewards that highlighted mothers’ contributions to families and communities. The highlight was an empowerment programme that equipped women with knowledge on health, finance and agriculture. Thirty underserved women also received equipment to start or grow their businesses.
The event took place at Umuorii Field, St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Umuorii, and drew participants from Umualum, Umuorii, Umuoba, Okwu, Owalla, Owaelu, Umunahu, Orji, Amakohia and Akwakuma communities.
It was graced by the First Lady of Imo State, Mrs Chioma Uzodimma, represented by Mrs Nduka Ijeoma, wife of the Managing Director of the Anambra/Imo River Basin Development Authority. Actress and influencer Ebelle Okaro also attended, adding excitement and inspiration.
Marketing Director of FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria Plc, Maureen Ifada, said the company believes that “when women thrive, families and communities flourish.” She added that through Three Crowns Milk the firm remains committed to platforms that celebrate, support and empower mothers as the foundation of healthier families and stronger societies.
“The August Meeting provides another meaningful opportunity to connect with women where culture, community and wellness intersect, and we are proud to share this important moment with the people of Imo State,” she said.
Marketing Manager for Three Crowns Milk, Chioma Otisi-Igwe, noted that supporting mothers goes beyond nutrition: “Beyond providing good nutrition, supporting mothers means creating opportunities that empower them to thrive.”
The activation reinforced the brand’s long-standing commitment to mothers and healthier lifestyles while building meaningful connections with women in the region.
