The All Progressives Congress National Campaign Council for the Osun State governorship election has called an emergency meeting as the party intensifies its preparations for the August 15 poll.
The session is scheduled for Monday, August 3, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the Kano State Governor’s Lodge, 30 Jose Marti Street, Asokoro, Abuja. It will bring together all members of the council for a critical strategy review aimed at sharpening the party’s final campaign push.
Imo State Governor and Chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum, Senator Hope Uzodimma, chairs the council, while Deputy Senate President Senator Jibrin Barau serves as secretary. Both leaders are expected to brief members on campaign activities and coordinate the party’s approach in the closing days before the election.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the council directed all members to attend, underscoring the importance placed on the final phase of the campaign. Although the detailed agenda was not released, party sources indicated the meeting will assess progress so far, refine mobilization efforts, and align the deployment of leaders and stakeholders across Osun State.
