At least four people were killed and two others injured following an attack by armed gunmen at the Ilesha Baruba Motor Park in Kwara State on Easter Monday.
The incident was disclosed by counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama in a post on his X handle on Tuesday. According to him, intelligence sources reported that about 10 gunmen stormed the area and opened fire indiscriminately on people relaxing at a local joint around 9:30 p.m.
Among the victims confirmed dead are Alhaji Ja’awire, Abduljabar, and Mohammed Nasamu, while three others are yet to be identified.
Makama said security personnel later arrived at the scene, after which the victims’ bodies were taken to the Ilesha Baruba Morgue for autopsy. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
