The Lagos State Governance Advisory Council (GAC) has formally welcomed Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, into the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Jandor, a former chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and founder of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, was the PDP’s gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 Lagos State election. He officially joined the APC in March this year.
In a statement issued on Thursday by his spokesman, Pastor Gbenga Ogunleye, Adediran expressed gratitude for the warm reception he received from GAC members, led by Chairman Prince Tajudeen Olusi.
“In a significant show of unity and goodwill, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, Jandor, was warmly received by Prince Tajudeen Olusi; Chief Rabiu Oluwa, Badagry Division Apex Leader and GAC member; Senator Ganiyu Solomon; and Senator Musiliu Obanikoro,” the statement read.
Adediran revealed that the meeting took place in Saudi Arabia during the Umrah pilgrimage, describing it as a symbolic engagement that highlights the spirit of unity among key political stakeholders in Lagos.
“This encounter reflects our collective commitment to the progress and unity of Lagos State and underscores the importance of collaboration in advancing the vision of the ruling party,” he added.
