In a stirring goodwill message to the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Lagos Branch, on the occasion of its 2025 Annual Law Conference, respected legal practitioner and past Secretary of NBA Abuja Branch, Chidi Ezenwafor, MCArb, has hailed the branch for once again taking the lead in thought leadership and professional innovation.
With a theme as bold as it is timely — “Reimagining the Practice of Law: Ethics, Innovation, and the Future of Legal Services” — Ezenwafor describes the focus of this year’s gathering as a clarion call to the legal profession in a fast-changing world.
“In an era defined by rapid technological advancement, evolving client expectations, and an increasingly globalised legal landscape,” he writes, “this theme challenges us to reflect deeply on the future of our profession. It reminds us that while innovation is essential, it must be grounded in the timeless pillars of integrity, diligence, and ethical responsibility.”
The message, published under the banner of his firm Ezenwafor & Co., is a passionate call to action for both young and seasoned lawyers to engage meaningfully in the conversations shaping the profession’s trajectory.
“NBA Lagos has consistently set the bar for thought leadership, professional excellence, and bold conversations that shape the trajectory of the legal profession in Nigeria,” Ezenwafor declared. “This conference is yet another opportunity to bring together legal minds, young and seasoned, to exchange ideas, inspire one another, and forge a stronger, more dynamic legal community.”
He urged especially young legal practitioners to see the gathering not merely as an event but as a strategic opportunity.
