A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ayekooto Akindele, has said that President Bola Tinubu has become a source of deep concern for the family of former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
Akindele made the remark on Friday while reacting to a social media post by El-Rufai’s son, Bashir, who vowed to work towards Tinubu’s defeat in the 2027 presidential election.
Bashir, in a post on X, shared a photo of President Tinubu with the caption: “Can’t wait for this man to relocate back to Bourdillon. The North is ready,” indicating a strong northern opposition to Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Responding to the post, Akindele wrote: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has become the family problem of the El-Rufais. They are groaning and gnashing their teeth.”
Nasir El-Rufai is believed to be aligned with opposition forces seeking to unseat Tinubu in the 2027 election.
