The President-Elect of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mrs. Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, has approved the formation of a Transition Implementation Committee to manage the handover of leadership within the association.
The new committee will work alongside the Transition Committee already established by the outgoing President, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN. Its mandate is to ensure a seamless transfer of responsibilities from the current administration to the incoming one.
Led by Olola Aderemi Oguntoye, SAN, as Chairman and Aminu Gadanya, SAN, as Co-Chairman, the committee includes senior lawyers and other distinguished members drawn from across the Bar. Afam O. Okeke and Oludayo Olorunfemi will serve as Secretary and Co-Secretary respectively.
The Office of the President-Elect congratulated the appointees and expressed confidence that the committee will discharge its duties with diligence. The move reflects the association’s emphasis on continuity and institutional stability as it prepares for the change in leadership.
