The Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum (NBAWF) has paid tribute to the women who guided its work over the past two years, marking the approaching close of a tenure defined by service and growth.
In the latest edition of its Curtains Up Series, the Forum recognised Council Members, the Executive Committee, committees, State Leads, Branch Facilitators, mentors, ordinary members and the Spotlight Crew for their collective contributions.
Sifon Sifon Ubong-Ntuk, Esq., Head of the Welfare Committee, led the tribute. She described gratitude as the mark of a gracious heart and said the end of the term offered a moment to reflect on those whose dedication shaped the Forum’s progress.
The Council and Executive Committee were praised for visionary leadership. Committees were commended for steady commitment to the Forum’s goals. State Leads and Branch Facilitators were acknowledged for spreading the NBAWF’s message across the Association, while mentors were recognised for the example and experience they provided. Members were thanked for their engagement and feedback, and the Spotlight Crew for the creativity and insight they brought to the Forum’s publications.
The statement stressed that the recognition went beyond titles. It celebrated every responsibility accepted, every task completed and every effort made to advance the place of women in the legal profession.
As the tenure draws to a close, the NBAWF said it was marking not only the end of a term but the lasting impact of women who chose to serve. The Forum noted that while the curtain is falling on this chapter, the legacy of service, excellence and mutual empowerment continues.
