The Nigeria Football Federation has hailed several Nigerian stars who clinched league and cup titles with their clubs across Europe during the just-concluded season.
NFF President, Ibrahim Musa Gusau, commended the players for their outstanding performances, describing their achievements as a reflection of their talent, consistency and professionalism.
According to Gusau, the success of Nigerian players abroad is encouraging and serves as a positive sign for the national teams ahead of future international competitions.
Among the standout performers was Victor Osimhen, who inspired Galatasaray to the Turkish Super Lig title with a series of impressive displays throughout the campaign.
Defender Zaidu Sanusi also ended the season on a high after helping FC Porto lift the Taça de Portugal. His compatriot, Terem Moffi, celebrated the same success after joining the Portuguese side on loan from OGC Nice earlier in the year.
In Belgium, Raphael Onyedika played a crucial role as Club Brugge secured the Belgian Pro League crown.
Kelechi Iheanacho enjoyed a memorable debut season in Scotland, helping Celtic FC win both the league and domestic cup titles.
Elsewhere, defender Igoh Ogbu celebrated league glory with Slavia Prague in the Czech Republic, while goalkeeper Francis Uzoho helped Omonia Nicosia emerge champions in Cyprus.
Defender Semi Ajayi also had reason to celebrate after Hull City earned promotion to the Premier League through the Championship play-off final.
In women’s football, Christy Ucheibe enjoyed an exceptional season with SL Benfica, winning three domestic trophies.
Meanwhile, Shukurat Oladipo was named Best Defender in the Serie A Femminile after guiding AS Roma Women to the league title. Fellow Nigerian forward Rinsola Babajide also contributed to the club’s successful season following her move from UD Tenerife.
