ABUJA- President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Bishop Francis Wale Oke on his re-election as the National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).
The congratulatory message was conveyed in a statement on Thursday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
Bishop Oke, founder of Sword of the Spirit Ministries International, was re-elected during the 18th Biennial National Conference of the PFN, which commenced on Tuesday in Abuja and is set to conclude on Friday. He also serves as the Chancellor of Precious Cornerstone University.
President Tinubu praised Bishop Oke for his commitment to promoting religious harmony and national unity through initiatives such as the Nigeria Turning Point Prayer Movement.
“The President describes the renowned clergyman as a man of fine character, principle, and faith and encourages him to continue using the pulpit to teach the good gospel of love, kindness, and peace as embodied by Jesus Christ,” the statement read.
Tinubu also prayed for renewed strength and divine anointing for Oke as he continues his leadership in the Christian community.
Oke was first elected PFN National President in 2021 after previously serving as Deputy President.
