Ahead of the 2027 governorship election, Umo Eno has submitted his nomination form for the governorship primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC), urging party members to support his bid for a second term.
Speaking to Government House correspondents at the Victor Attah International Airport on his return from Abuja, where he completed the submission process, the governor said his decision to seek re-election was informed by the need to sustain and expand ongoing developmental projects across the state.
He stated that his administration had achieved notable progress through the ARISE Agenda, but noted that several key projects would require more time for completion beyond the current tenure.
According to him, continuity in leadership would ensure that the projects are completed in line with the original vision and objectives.
“We will continue to trust God and remain dedicated to serving our people. There is still a lot of work to be done, and many of the projects we have initiated cannot be fully completed within this tenure.
“That is why we are seeking another mandate to consolidate on the achievements recorded so far and deliver more benefits to the people of the state,” he said.
Governor Eno also thanked residents of the state for their support over the past three years and expressed confidence that the goodwill would continue through the remainder of his first term and into a possible second tenure.
